Understand what your water costs you.

Start with your habits. Then add the amounts from your quote to see what they mean over time.

01 / Your habits

Let's start with your everyday life.

An editable example, not a national average.

In Swiss francs including tax, for the chosen water type.
Refine my habits

Drinking water is not your home's total water consumption. These limits are input safeguards, not consumption recommendations.

Enter the price you actually pay for the chosen water type; it does not change automatically.

For a household drinking both still and sparkling water, calculate each use separately without counting the investment twice.

The calculation in detail

Understand the method.

Your entries stay on the page and disappear when it reloads. Nothing is collected or transmitted.

How are the amounts calculated?

Entered amounts are personal assumptions, even when copied from a quote. Use the amounts from the quote proposed for your project.

  • Annual volume = people × litres per person per day × 365.
  • Annual bottled water purchases = annual volume × price per litre.
  • Solution cost = full investment + annual costs × number of years.
  • Difference = cumulative bottled water purchases − cumulative solution cost.

The cost crossover is interpolated assuming even spending throughout the year. It is only shown within the simulated period. At the crossover point, no cumulative savings have yet been made.

Which costs should I check in my quote?

Equipment, installation, accessories and necessary additional equipment: include all initial costs without counting the same service twice.

For water: multiply the volume actually billed for this use in m³ by the variable rate in CHF/m³ on your bill. The useful drinking water volume alone is not enough to determine the equipment's efficiency.

For energy and CO₂, use a bill or quote and documented consumption or replacement frequency. If information is missing, leave the item blank. Here, CO₂ means a paid consumable, not a carbon footprint. For still water, this item does not apply.

The gas cylinder excluded from the FRIZZIA supplier sheet must be checked in the OSVIA quote before determining the full initial cost. A power rating on a specification sheet does not provide measured annual consumption.

What are the limits of the comparison?

ANNA and FRIZZIA are two independent quotes. Do not add them together. For a household drinking both still and sparkling water, calculate each use separately without counting the investment twice.

HARMONY treats limescale in the home. It meets a different need and is not included in this comparison with bottled water purchases.

No inflation, financing, discounting, resale value or deposit refund is calculated. For a replacement planned within the period, include its cost in annualised maintenance; the actual timing may change the crossover. No health or environmental benefit, time saved or avoided repair is assigned a monetary value.
